Growing up, I was a secret agent. As the youngest of three, I watched as all of my friends panicked with each new life change we faced. I smiled with confidence as they were frantic entering middle school, high school, and going to prom, knowing well that I had the inside scoop on it all. I took mental notes of my siblings’ experiences, preparing myself for when it was my turn. I learned all the ropes, what mistakes to avoid, what could help me along the way, and more.

My Two Worlds – Reflecting on Fall Break

Going home for the first time after being gone for two months is a weird experience to say the least. I was of course ecstatic to go home, see family and old friends, sleep in my own bed, and most importantly see my dog. Although, I couldn’t help but feel slightly conflicted when I got there. I found myself wanting to walk around campus, or go to Baker with friends. I even caught myself instinctively grabbing my dorm room key when I walked out of my house. Home is home, but Juniata is becoming my new home as well. It took me a minute to get accustomed to being home again, reverting back to an old schedule I’d had for so long. I spent four nights back in New Jersey, and Sunday came way too soon. I felt like I just left Juniata and now I was leaving all over again.

Finding Fun through Lobster Fest

Contrary to popular belief, this is more than a time for students to stuff their faces with shellfish. Lobster Fest is a long held tradition at Juniata, and it’s a great opportunity for new and returning students to see how they can get involved with different sports and activities on campus. My expectations were low as a freshman going into Lobster Fest, but little did I know that the quad would transform into a garden of activities and excitement.
